Where can I get a PCR test in Marrakech?
You can get your PCR test at any lab in Marrakech. You’ll need to make an appointment by calling them directly. The PCR test costs 700 DH (€70) in most labs, and you’ll get the results within 24 hours. The cost of the test cannot be refunded.

Can we sleep in the same room with my partner even if we’re not married?
Yes! If you come to the hotel with a foreign passport, you can sleep in the same room as your partner. Moroccans with dual nationality (MRE) can also do this if they come to the hotel with their foreign passport.
However, local Moroccans must show a marriage certificate if they want to sleep in the same room as their partner.
What language is spoken in Marrakech?
Darija is the Moroccan dialect spoken in Marrakech and all over Morocco.
However, almost everyone speaks French, and many people speak English too!
What should I wear in Marrakech?
Marrakech is a touristy and very tolerant city. You can dress however you like in most places in Marrakech.
However, in the old city called the Medina, it’s more conservative. We recommend that you cover up a bit more, avoiding very short shorts and low-cut tops.
How do I get around the city?
Taxis are the most common way to get around in Marrakech.
Taxis in Marrakech are required to turn on the meter. Many say it’s broken, but they can be fined if it’s not turned on! So ask them to turn on the meter and pay the price of the ride based on what it says. Short trips in the city rarely cost more than 50 DH (€5) during the day, but it’s more expensive at night.
To get out of the city center of Marrakech, you’ll need to take a “big” taxi. You can also book all your transportation outside the city center with us. We’ll book your transportation with private drivers, the price will be set, and it will be cheaper than with “big” taxis.
What’s the weather like in Marrakech during the different seasons?
The weather is generally nice all year round, and the climate is dry. It rains very rarely.
- From November to February, it’s the coolest time of the year: between 20 and 25 degrees during the day and between 10 and 15 degrees in the evening.
- From March to June, it’s warmer: between 25 and 35 degrees during the day and between 20 and 25 degrees in the evening.
- From July to August, it’s the hottest time of the year: between 35 and 45 degrees during the day and between 25 and 30 degrees in the evening. Since the climate is very dry, it’s still bearable.
- From September to October, the temperatures drop, but it’s still hot: between 30 and 35 degrees during the day and between 20 and 25 degrees in the evening.

Where can I buy a Moroccan SIM card?
At the Marrakech airport, in the baggage claim area, several Moroccan mobile phone stands are available, and they give you SIM cards that you can then top up at any grocery store in Marrakech.
We recommend that you buy a 100 DH (€10) top-up directly at the Marrakech airport. This will be enough for a few days’ stay in Morocco.
Where can I exchange money?
It will be much better to exchange your money at the ALI hotel located in Jemaa El Fna, or at the FAROUK hotel located in Guéliz. These are two exchange offices that offer the best rates in Marrakech.
